What is Hospice?

Hospice is a type of care, not a place where patients go to receive care. Hospice brings together medical and non-medical caregivers as needed to serve patients with life-limiting illnesses, usually within the final six months of life. Hospice care does not hasten death — instead, the goal is to manage pain and other symptoms to make patients comfortable, so they can live every remaining moment to the fullest.

Interim HealthCare Hospice of Palmdale hospice team serves patients anywhere they call home. In-home care enables families to spend maximum time together, in comforting surroundings. Our holistic approach to care focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient and their family. Because Interim HealthCare offers a full continuum of care options, our hospice care teams may include a physician, skilled nurses, home caregivers, a chaplain, and even specially-trained hospice volunteers.
Interim HealthCare's philosophy is family-centered and faith-based, which means we are dedicated to caring for all members of the family during a difficult season of life. Our team of compassionate professionals is here to assist with end-of-life care including comfort care, symptom management, and helping to improve quality of life. We also offer personal care services that can provide valuable respite care for family members.
During a time that can be especially stressful, we help you and your family find the peace and comfort you deserve at the time you need it most.
